A Delicious Journey from Childhood Memories to a Small Business
As a child growing up in Turkey, I always looked forward to summer when my family would make Kaymak – a creamy, delicious dairy product that is a staple in Turkish cuisine. We would enjoy it with honey and fresh bread, and it always felt like a special treat. Years later, when I moved to Canada, I found myself missing the taste of authentic Kaymak. I tried buying it at the store, but it was never quite the same as the homemade version from my childhood. That's when I decided to start making it myself. I spent countless hours experimenting with different recipes and techniques, and eventually, I was able to recreate the rich, velvety texture and subtle tang of authentic Kaymak. My friends and family were thrilled when I started sharing my homemade creamy spread with them, and they encouraged me to start selling it. Now, I get to share this special tradition with my son, who loves it just as much as I did grow up. He enjoys it with honey and bread, just like we used to in Turkey. It’s a joy to see him appreciate this piece of our heritage. I’m thrilled to share this delicious taste of Turkish tradition with people across Canada through my website. So, whether you're a longtime fan of Kaymak or you're trying it for the first time, I invite you to try my authentic, homemade version. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
